A police officer is in critical condition after an incident Wednesday morning at Bishop International Airport in Flint, Michigan, the Associated Pressreported.
CNN reported on Wednesday that an airport police officer was stabbed in the neck, according to Lieutenant David Kaiser, a spokesman for the Michigan State Police. The airport was evacuated and the suspect is reportedly in custody.

The suspect behind Wednesday’s airport stabbing attack tried unsuccessfully to purchase a firearm before carrying out the attack in a Flint, Michigan, airport, officials said on Thursday, according to Reuters.
Amor Ftouhi, 49, of Quebec, Canada, the man charged in Wednesday’s stabbing attack, legally entered the U.S. from Canada on June 16, in Lake Champlain, New York.
Ftouhi, who holds duel Tunisian and Canadian citizenship, attempted to purchase a gun in the U.S. but was unsuccessful, according to Special Agent David Gelios of the FBI. The agency is investigating Wednesday’s attack as a terrorist act. Read more (6/23/17)
